I took this portrait at one of the street shoots at Mumbai’s famous Abdul Rehman street market where this young boy was selling toys on the street. When I posed a camera towards him I got one poignant look from him which is also visible in his eyes. Those eyes as if hiding so many questions, emotions and lost moments in it.
Wonderfully captured.. life is not fair to some. but each of us who have this great life, who should be thankful, only seem to complain.. Then think what would this boy’s questions be? What would those hidden emotions be? And what would those lost moments be? He has so much to say, but nobody there to listen..
So true.. Now just imagine that chaos and activity in that place and you know most if the time, these emotions, questions and feelings seems to get lost amidst the chaos… So many of them go unnoticed !!
I just tried to capture that.
What a rare moment and you immortalized it!
I’m so thrilled you somehow found my blog!! If not, I might have missed out on running across yours!
(I just subscribed via email)
I am glad and humbled by what you said. This is one those moment and expression which you get rarely.
Thank you so much for kind words and sharing it on your facebook profile.
I have been to your blog and I must tell you its wonderful.
thank you!! 🙂
A realy wonderful portrait :). Have you applied some vignetting here?
Thank You.
Yes, Just a bit on picasa 🙂
😉
I hope that is okay and not harming the overall effect of the portrait. I am a amateur.
And who do you think I am 😉 :D. You did a wonderful job! I am not familiar with Picassa; I am only starting to explore Lightroom 🙂 This portrait you took does not look amateur to me 😀
I meant to say amateur and still new to this field. LR and photoshop too heavy to understand for me so I stick to picasa. And about this portrait, this is one in 100 kind of shot. I was lucky here 🙂
There is probably a share of luck in it, the look of the boy, his expressive face, but you were there to notice it, and the frame and editing are perfect! I mean it!
Thank you so much again 🙂
Appreciate your time and comments on the blog.
Always wonderful interacting with you 🙂
You are most welcome Hitesh.. what would other use of blog be… if there is an interaction between bloggers then it should be a good one, I don’t like going through some blogs just skimming pages – though it also happens and mostly owing to their mode of communication and superficiality 😉
Yes that is absolutely true. I second whatever you said.
Its meant to know people, culture and exchanging ideas beyond geographical boundaries.
It is amazing how much can be said without speaking a word. Great shot!
So true..
