A daughter is one of the most beautiful gift this world has to give !!

Thankful !!

Sharing this picture for this weeks photo challenge : Thankful

Sometimes the pleasure of creating something is such a great that it gives you pleasure long after that moment has passed. Off late, photography has given me many such moments which is unexplainable. Sometimes when you are looking through the camera lens, you see what others cant, and that is the beauty of it.

The contribution of the photography far out reaches the joy of just clicking a passing moment and saving it for a lifetime. It helps in understanding life and people. It allows you to converse with your self and the outside world. Ever so thankful for all the positive changes it brought with it in my life.

Organised Chaos

I always think of cities as organised chaos and being born and brought up in one of the Asian metropolis, I have seen and experienced this chaos which runs deep even inside of people living in these cities.

Somehow, the melange of emotions, people and serendipity keeps this chaos alive. The story continues, the city keeps breathing and organised chaos lives on.

Of questions, emotions and lost moments !!

I took this portrait at one of the street shoots at Mumbai’s famous Abdul Rehman street market where this young boy was selling toys on the street. When I posed a camera towards him I got one poignant look from him which is also visible in his eyes. Those eyes as if hiding so many questions, emotions and lost moments in it.

“…there is a God, there always has been. I see him here, in the eyes of the people in this [hospital] corridor of desperation. This is the real house of God, this is where those who have lost God will find Him… there is a God, there has to be, and now I will pray, I will pray that He will forgive that I have neglected Him all of these years, forgive that I have betrayed, lied, and sinned with impunity only to turn to Him now in my hour of need. I pray that He is as merciful, benevolent, and gracious as His book says He is.”

This was a lucky shot on one of the street shoot at Vasai Fort where there is large community of Catholics fisherman. This is a small cross on the trunk of a big tree on the road side. It looked so beautiful and never knew it will come out like this.
