Using this poem from movie Udaan again to express the idea and thought behind the picture.
And the quest continues as you seek !! You seek love, meaning, serendipity, knowledge, happiness. And as they say, no matter what you get, what you achieve, there is always something left to be done. And that’s life.
“You broke the bonds and you
Loosed the chains
Carried the cross
Of my shame
Of my shame
You know I believed it”
Bombay rains while driving through the streets.
I have been away from camera for quite some time now which induced this hiatus and I don’t know for how long this will continue. Nevertheless, its always great to drop in here once in a while, look at all those wonderful photo and travel blogs and go back inspired. Stories behind pictures and journey is what draws us to people and places and I am not an exception.
At every stage of our life we find ourself close to certain thoughts and here is one such thought which is changing me with every passing day. For good I hope !!
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common–this is my symphony.
– William Henry Channing
It has been a extremely fulfilling year as far as photography is concerned. 2012 was the year I started looking at photography as a serious hobby and took the time out from my busy schedule and routine professional life to devote to this.
The year started with my first appearance for the MWS on the very first day of the year – 1st January 2012. It has been a wonderful journey on some these MWS outing, where I got to learn a lot from fellow photographers and came to know some wonderful people. Some of the street shoot have broaden the perspective of looking at the subject, how do you interpret them and how do you present them.
In June 2012, I had a wonderful time shooting some of the best places North Indian has to offer to travelers and photographers alike. Here are some of them : Mussoorie – the queen of hills, Haridwar – An experience, Free spirit, Jim Corbett – Travelogue.

Sharing this picture for this weeks photo challenge : Thankful
Sometimes the pleasure of creating something is such a great that it gives you pleasure long after that moment has passed. Off late, photography has given me many such moments which is unexplainable. Sometimes when you are looking through the camera lens, you see what others cant, and that is the beauty of it.
The contribution of the photography far out reaches the joy of just clicking a passing moment and saving it for a lifetime. It helps in understanding life and people. It allows you to converse with your self and the outside world. Ever so thankful for all the positive changes it brought with it in my life.
