When I think of freeways or highways or expressways, I only manage to think that the two ends are nothing but connected by a quarter mile of nothing in between them.
And they are so much like people. If you know what I mean.

That is one impressive and frightening highway so far up in the mountains. And, yes, I agree with your analogy of the highway compared to people. Insightful regarding some people.
